What you’ll be doing
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/local GAAP.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, vendor statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Support payroll processing and related compliance filings.
- Monitor expense reports, corporate card transactions, and ensure accurate allocation of costs.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and statutory filings.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus).
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within fintech, SaaS, or fast-paced startups.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is a MUST.
